What a Year!

Here on the last day of 2013, I finally decided to throw together a quick retrospective of the year.

Over the year I’ve been on 9 flights, 2 trips around California, 3 trips to Boston, 3 trips to New Jersey, and 1 fantastic trip to Argentina. I’ve watched my kids go from stroller riding babes to independent kids who can carry their own bags and find excitement in the new and different. I’ve managed to (finally) reduce the amount of luggage we need to bring (now that we don’t need as much baby stuff) and I’ve discovered the “fun” again of flying with a toddler as a lap child.

In terms of blogging, I started up again in earnest in June and have then written 32 (including this one) posts in 2013. According to WordPress in terms of views, my top 5 were:

5. Buenos Aires – The Trip of a Lifetime…

My retrospective on the glorious time we had in Argentina, and on my sabbatical in general.

4. Top 10 Things I Learned on my Trip Home

A humorous look at my trip home, and my first attempt at a list.

3. Breastfeeding in India

A very personal account of my experience breastfeeding abroad.

2. Family Friendly Emirates Air

My review of Emirates Air written last year is apparently still very popular.

And the #1 visited post in 2013:

Revisiting My Past After The Storm

This one is a very personal account about traveling back to my home town after it was hit badly by Superstorm Sandy. This was a difficult piece for me to write and I put my heart and soul into, so I was glad to see it as #1.

2013 was a wonderful year and I’m excited about 2014. With plans to travel to LA, Jackson Hole, New Jersey and India, it looks like it’s shaping up to be another fun filled year.

Happy New Year!
