Weathered – Black and Whites from Torrey Pines

This week, I was racking my brains as to what I had that fit the “weathered” theme for this weeks WordPress Photo Challenge. Then we traveled to San Diego and hiked in Torrey Pines State Reserve. While I also took several pictures, my husband’s black and whites truly capture it at its best.

The weathered sand dunes along the trails
Breathtaking views of the weathered cliffs
Rocks weathered and worn to smooth pebbles by years of ocean tides

    I love the detail and texture the b&w photos provide. The shadows allow me to focus on the photos without the wow factor of color. Great job.
