I had been dreaming of my sabbatical since I first started. Two maternity leaves caused me to postpone it but its now finally here (almost). In November I will be taking that glorious sabbatical and of course, I will use it to travel.
We scraped together all our miles and booked our tickets. 10 days in NJ followed by 2.5 weeks in Buenos Aires. Me, my husband, my preschooler and my toddler are the current confirmed travelers. Now all we need are visas, a place to stay, an itinerary…
Make sure to follow along as we plan our trip and go south of the equator to the land of glaciers and mountains, Malbac and the tango. If you have any good suggestions, send them my way!

Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So… get on your way!”

Wow, I have only ever heard of professors getting a sabbatical. That’s awesome.
I hadn’t either until I joined my firm. We are one of the very few that do.
Exciting! What a great corporate policy!
It really is. And it creates a great culture because everyone talks about what they are going to do on their sabbatical.
That is awesome…. how often are you allowed to take this? Enjoy your wonderful time with your beautiful family! 🙂
We get to take one every five years. Thank you!
And I long to hear all about it! So excited to see how this journey unfolds.
Thank you! Though I’m not sure if it will be as exciting as yours!
